Cole, the son of a minister, is a native Texan who’s lived all over the state, from Houston to Midland, Pampa to Waco. He went to college in Huntsville, and got his first taste of wealth management at Met Life. Cole defines his success by the number of families he helps, not the number of dollars he earns or manages. In 2012, Cole combined his own thriving wealth management practice with that of Paul Palmer and Kurt Box to form The Advocates.
Cole spends most of his time using his skills to help families achieve their life’s mission. To feel his caring and competence, you have to work with him. Short of that, a long list of credentials tells you about the depth of his skills and ethics: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He’s ready to help with estate and special needs planning, cash flow management, risk management, tax planning, goals planning and investments.
Cole’s commitment extends to his profession and his faith. He’s past president and chairman of the Financial Planning Association Houston Chapter and is the past director of the Financial Planning Association Foundation of Houston. Cole has served on the leadership team for the men’s ministry at Fairfield Baptist Church. He enjoys using his gifts on mission trips to Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, and Belize. Cole continues to give his time and service on the board of directors for Mission Assist Team, a Christian non-profit organization.
Family’s at the center of it all for Cole. He lives in Cypress, Texas with his wife Ronda and his younger son Cal, a student at Cy-Woods High School. His oldest son Colt studies aerospace engineering at Embry-Riddle University in Prescott, AZ. As a family, they enjoy time at the lake, the deer lease, hiking, building stuff, and just about anything involving sports.
